Welcome to Today we will prepare Veg Chowmein, it is liked by all and is very easy to prepare. Ingredients required : Dry Noodles – 200 grams which need to be boiled. Oil – 3 to 4 tbsp you can use any cooking oil. Cabbage – 1 cup (thinly sliced) Capsicum – 1 (thinly sliced) Carrot – 1 (thinly sliced) Vinegar – 2 tsp Soya sauce – 2 tsp Chilly sauce – 2 tsp Salt – 1 tsp or add to taste Black pepper – 1/4 tsp First we will boil the noodles to begin preparing Veg Chowmein. Take any big utensil because we need enough water to completely submerge the noodles easily for boiling. Turn on the gas and put 1 /2 tsp salt in the water along with 2 tsp oil. Cover the utensil so that water comes to boil at a quicker rate. We will put the noodles only after water starts to boil. Now that the water has come to boil we will put the noodles in it. Allow noodles to boil till they turn soft. Check the noodles they are done boiling and it took 10 minutes for them to boil. Remove noodles from water by draining water through any strainer. To remove starch from the noodles place them under a running tap and wash or put the noodles in cold water. The noodle are boiled and ready so let us prepare our Chowmein. Heat a pan, we can see that the noodles are completely separated from each other. Noodles should be boiled in this same manner, they should not stick. If we add some oil to the water then noodles do not stick. Also remember that noodles should be put in water only after it comes to boil. Pour remaining oil in the pan. If you want to add onion to the noodles then cut 1 onion put it in oil before any other ingredient and fry. Here we are preparing the noodles without any onion so put in carrots after oil is heated and fry for 1 minute. Add capsicum, cabbage and fry the vegetables for another 1 minute till vegetables turn crunchy. Take out the noodles from water then put them in the pan with vegetables. Add salt, soya sauce, vinegar, chilly sauce and black pepper. Mix all these ingredients thoroughly. Use 2 spoons to mix the ingredients (this makes it easier to mix the contents in the pan). Veg Chowmein is prepared. If you eat onion then finely chop spring onions and sprinkle over the Veg Chowmein as garnish. Serve Veg Chowmein with chilly sauce for those who prefer more more of spicy.
