Hey guys, it’s Warren here. And here’s a little sweet treat for you and
it’s for my sugar cookies recipe. And this is enough to make 24 sugar cookies
– WOWZA! To begin with, take a large mixing bowl and
pour in 200g of cubed butter followed by 200g of caster sugar. Using either and electric hand whisk or food
mixer, thoroughly cream the sugar and butter together for between 2 and 3 minutes. Do this until the sugar and butter has become
nice and fluffy and light and pale in colour. Take 300g of self raising flour and sieve
into the mixing bowl with the creamed sugar and butter. Crack in one egg followed by 1 tsp of vanilla
extract or vanilla essence. Now begin mixing the ingredients together. Starting off slow until everything’s thoroughly
combined. You should be left with a mixture that’s slightly
doughy and sticky to touch. Next, take a baking tray lined with grease-proof
or parchment paper and roll out 24 balls from the cook dough mixture. Place on some parchment paper, leaving some
room because the balls will expand in the oven. This means you make need to bake them in batches. Place in the oven on 190c/375f for 10 minutes. After the baking time and when the cookies
are nice and golden on top, take them from the oven. The cookies will still be slight soft on top
(which is perfectly normal) and don’t worry, they will firm up. In the meantime, sprinkle the cookies with
some caster sugar and place onto a cooling rack. Once they’re cooled, they’re ready to eat. There you have it, that’s how to make this
really simple sugar cookies recipe. And if you love the look of these, remember
to give this video a thumbs-up.
