Welcome to Kissan Tiffin Timetable i’m shipra and along with, some of your favorite chefs We’re bringing together 200 recipes for 200 school days, so today i’m going to prepare Tomato Upma for you. It’s healthy and nutritious, but still the kids are going to love it. So come let’s see how to make “ Har Din Naya Tiffin Har Din Empty Tiffin “ So let’s start the recipe first of all, we heat the pan and now i’m going to add some oil Once the oil gets heated We add some black mustard seeds to it and we wait till it starts popping so once the mustard seeds are crackling We add Chana dal to it and this is the white lentil We need, to toast these Till it’s light golden in color And now i’m adding, some curry leaves Finely, chopped onions We need to sauté the onions, we don’t need to give it color Just till it’s soft and translucent. Now at this stage I’m going to add tomatoes to it. Along with a little bit of salt. So this salt is actually going to soften the tomatoes I always like to add little bit of chili powder And green chili’s at this stage Along, with a little bit of water because this will help the tomatoes to become soft So now I’m going to add a little bit of Kissan Tomato Ketchup. It will give a tangy taste And also will keep the upma moist which is important you don’t want the upma actually choking your throat We cook it for another Say 30 to 40 seconds And now i’m going, to add the semolina or suji to it just stir it well And cook it for another say a minute or so and At this stage i’m going to add water to this A quick stir again, and we let it boil until the semolina or suji is cooked And it gets to the right consistency The upma is ready so let’s prepare the tiffin Some dry fruit Some fresh fruit I hope you enjoyed all my five recipes Next week monica’s going to share her recipes with you Until then, don’t forget to subscribe to india food network Please like and share this video and i’ll be back soon to show you how, to make “ Har Din Naya Tiffin Har Din Empty Tiffin “
