Today we are going to show you how to make gulab jamun. It is a very very popular dessert in India and eaten on all different occasions. It’s a very easy recipe with very few ingredients. We need the basic is milk powder, milk, butter, sugar and all purpose flour. So this recipe is going to make about 10 gulab jamuns. It depends again on the size you decide. So this is 1 cup of milk powder. We have 1/4 cup of all purpose flour. 3 spoons of unsalted butter at room temperature. 1/4 cup of milk again at room temperature. Pinch of baking soda. Now here we have it to make syrup. 1.25 cups of sugar 1 cup of water 4 cardamom seeds And pinch of saffron, which is really an optional. Now first we are going to start making syrup. On high heat let’s put the water. And sugar. And at the same time, we are going to put the cardamom seeds. And just mix it. While our gulab jamuns are ready this syrup will also be ready. And we will start the heat for making gulab jamun. Now here we come back, this is 1 cup of milk powder. 1/4 cup of all purpose flour Pinch of baking soda. We are going to mix it. Then we are going to add little at a time butter. Mix it with your finger really good. It should be mixed very well. You have to keep mixing till all is mixed together. Now we are going to add milk half at a time. This dough will be soft so we have to leave this for few minutes. So after few minutes this dough will become like this. Let’s mix it together. And wash our hands. And in few minutes this will be all ready. So we stir it one time and our oil is getting ready. These are really very delicious dessert and looks very nice. So let’s come back and see our dough is ready. So we are going to make about 10 balls. These balls you can really make small or big. The size you have to decide if you want to make gulab jamun and how you want to serve it. So 1,2.3…. this is already 4. 5 6 7 8 9 10 Now let’s move to our ghee. We are going to see our oil is ready. So for the testing the oil let’s put just a small ball and it’s ready. Just see it’s not going to go up right away. So because these balls should be really cooked on a very low heat. So they get very nice and brown inside. And takes about 7-8 minutes. Now here our syrup is ready, it’s boiling. Just let it boil just half more minute and then close the heat. So whenever gulab jamuns are ready this will be warm but not boiling. That’s how it should be. It should not be boiling it should be just warm syrup. These gulab jamuns will take about 7-8 minutes in frying. And we have to just keep rolling them. So from all around they are very nice and brown and same color. Still getting ready. Here I already have made some gulab jamuns that’s how the color should be. After we take it out from the heat it should stay on room temperature for couple of minutes.. And that’s what I have done. So they are ready to go in the syrup. So we are going to put them in syrup. And just mix it. After 10 minutes they will be ready to serve. And that’s how they are going look.
