Hello friends, welcome to classic masala hut! Today we are going to make chicken tikka chicken tikka is nothing but small seasoned pieces of chicken cooked on a skewer at high temperature so that all the flavors are locked within the chicken so first let’s start by making the masala for the tikka. Into a large mixing bowl I’m going to add 4 tablespoons of yogurt, 1 tablespoon of ginger garlic paste, 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder, 1 tsp of cumin powder, 1 tsp of garam masala 1 tablespoon of kashmiri chilli powder to impart nice color required salt, some pepper, juice of half a lemon and finally 2 Tbsp of oil. After adding all the ingredients mix it nicely Now after mixing, I’m going to add the chicken. I have here half kg of chicken boneless chicken cut into medium sized pieces. Pat dry the chicken to get rid of off any excess moisture. Also goes in some onions and bell peppers mix it nicely and coat the chicken pieces well with the masala. now after mixing cover and let it marinate for minimum 30 mins to 1hr. The chicken has been marinating for one hr now let’s arrange them on a skewer. If you are using wooden skewer for oven then we need to soak it for 20 to 30 minutes before baking Let’s arrange the chicken pieces, onions and bell peppers between the chicken pieces place it in a baking tray preheat the oven to 450 degrees fahrenheit and bake it for 10 minutes on one side and after 10 mins flip it to the other side and bake it for 10 to 15 minutes once it is fully done broil it for 2 more minutes to get that nice color. Grease the pan with some oil. Place the skewers and cook until the chicken is fully done once you get this nice beautiful grill marks on all the all the sides, turn off the heat.
