Hello, I am Madhura and welcome to MadhurasRecipe Marathi We are making 4 different sandwiches today. Summer vacaions are about to end. Schools will begin soon. There many requests for tiffin recipes. Respecting your demand, we will make 4 sandwiches today which can be quickly made for your kids’ tiffin. To begin with let’s make jam sandwich. You will say, what’s special in it? Spread jam on bread and jam sandwich is already. Mostly it so happens is we wake up late or we haven’t prepared anything or we get boared of cooking. In such cases if we give jam sandwich we feel guity. That we have given jam sandwich. Let’s make jam sandwich a little healthy by giving it a little twist. I am using 2 bread slices toasted in toaster. I am using white bread slices and not wheat bread or multigrain bread. You can use wheat bread if you want. To begin with, spread jam. You can toast the bread on skillet instead of toaster. Or you can use bread without toasting. Only bread jam may not taste that good. So to add a little healthy element, I am using mixed nuts. I have cut cashew nuts, almonds and walnuts. Dry nuts contain lots of proteins and it is also good for health specially for kids. You can use peanut butter if you don’t want to use dry nuts. Cover it with other bread slice and jam and nuts sandwich is already. As we need to have carbs and proteins, we need to have veggies too. So when I give jam bread, I also give cucumber slices or carrot, beet root. Also I have packed mayonnaise-curd dipping. Added some mixed herbs and garlic powder. Any raw vegetable like carrot, cucumber or lettuce tastes nice after dipping in it. Mostly when I give raw veggies, I give this dipping for tiffin. You can give sprouts like moth beans or green grams. You can add a little chat masala, roasted cumin powder and coriander in sprouted moth beans or green grams. My kids just love that. Jam and nuts sandwich is already. Let’s keep it aside. Let’s make banana and walnut sandwich now. This is basically banana, walnut, choco chips sandwich. Take 2 bread slices. I am using white bread slices. Once I had been in a popular bakery in Pune to buy wheat bread. They only recomended me to use white bread instead of wheat bread as it contains no wheat. Brown colour is added to it to make wheat bread. Since then, I mostly use white bread only. Add banana slices on bread. Add walnuts. You also can use cashew nuts, almonds instead of walnuts. Also roasted peanuts taste awesome. I have chco chips. Add these. You can use pieces any milk chocolate instead of choco chips. Or you can use chocolate syrup. Or use nothing. Nutella also tastes good. Close it with another bread slice. Sandwich is already. Grill it on griddle. Spread butter on bread. You can use ghee if you don’t want to use butter. Place sandwich with buttered side on pan. Grill until it gets nice grill marks. Spread butter on other side as well. Flip over. Wow.. Let’s cut it. Wow… Nice. Choco chips are nicely melt. I have lunch box. I had already prepared it. Let’s fill sandwich in it. Let’s see how to make aloo masala sandwich. Heat up 1 tsp oil in a pan. Add ginger-garlic paste. Mostly kids don’t like mustard cumin tadka or they don’t like onion. So this is a perfect sandwich for them. Add a pinch of hing, a piece of green chili, curry leaves. Mix well. Add a pinch of turmeric powder. Mix well. Turn off the gas. Add potato in tadka. I am using 2 medium size potatoes. Boiled, peeled an mashed them. Add salt and lots of finely chopped coriander. Mix well. Wow.. Aloo masala is already. But before making sandwich, Let’s take out green chili and curry leaves. As kids are in a hurry to play and they mostly don’t pay attention to eaing. There is possibility that they may eat chili. To avoid that, whatever I give in tiffin like upma, pohe, sandwich, And if it contains green chili, I take it out and fill up the tiffin. Let’s stuff sandwich now. Spread tamarind chutney on bread. Tamarind chutney gives nice tangy taste to sandwich. Though this is aloo masala sandwich, tamarind chutney is more loved in this. As this gives nice taste. Let’s add and spread aloo masala. Cover with another slice and grill. Spread butter on sandwich. And grill it really good. If you don’t have griddle, you can toast sandwich on a skillet too. Spread butter on other side as well. Flip over. Sandwich is already. Cut it. Wow.. I am giving pomegranate and some dry fruits like almonds, cashew nuts and raisins. Actually my kids don’t eat so much. But this tiffin is really big in size. It should look nice in photo. That’s why I have filed it so much. But in general their diet is not this much. I fill half of this quantity in their tiffin. I don’t use plastic tiffin for daily use. I have specifically insulated tiffins having different sections. As it wouldn’t have looked good while shooting, I am using plastic tiffin. Let’s make cheesy grilled vegetable sandwich. My personal most favorite and is loved by all in our home. Not only kids but also adults also can have this sandwich. Heat up 1 tsp olive oil. You can use butter or regular oil instead of olive oil. I have mixed bell pepper like green, yellow and red. Add these into oil. This colour combination really looks nice. That’s why I am using difrent coloured capsicum. If you don’t want to add different coloured capsicum or not available with you, Then you can use carrot in place of yellow capsicum and tomato instead of red capsicum. Deseed the tomato, chop it finely and add. You can add onion, paneer. Fry this for about 3-4 minutes. Capsicum should not lose it’s crunch and should not be too soft. Colour combination is looking really nice. Capsicum is anti oxident rich and good for health. Add finely chopped spinach, 1 tsp mixed herbs, 1 tbsp garlic powder, 1/2 tsp black pepper powder. Add 1 tsp lemon juice. As we are using spinach, something sour must be added. You can add tomato instead of lemon juice. Add salt to taste. You can use fresh grated garlic instead of garlic powder. You can fry it with veggies. Black pepper is mostly used. If you don’t have mixed herbs, you can skip those. Or when we order Domino’s pizza, we get a separate packet of herbs with it. That also goes well in this. If you are using that, there is no need to use separate garlic powder. Veggies are cooked well. Turn off the gas. Let’s assemble the sandwich. Spread tomato ketch up on bread. You can use pizza or pasta sauce instead of ketch up. Let’s add a layer of the fried veggies on bread. Add grated mozarella cheese. You can use processed cheese in place of mozerella cheese. Or you can use cheese slice too. For grilling spread butter. Place buttered side on pan and grill from both sides. I have spread butter on other side. Flip over and grill from other side too. Do try these 4 sandwiches at home.
